Supervisor- duties include taking customer orders, handling calls and assisting the chef in the kitchen.  I try to provide efficient timing of food delivery.  I also handle any customer queries or complaints with upmost reassurance which reflects my organisation skills within the takeaway.

Sales Person- I look to boost sales and display my confidence in approach to customers in order to sell items of clothing. I also make sure garments are replenished when needed.  This requires team work and commitment which are attributes I have acquired.

Stockroom Assistant- Hanging new clothes stock into an organised stockroom. Making sure delivery of stock in the morning is in check. Tagging clothes in a specific way and cubing them in order of size and department. Keeping the stockroom layout immaculate at all times.

 Fresher Week Helper September 2008

I volunteered through my University to help new first years settle into University life. During the week I led a group of students around the campus and answered their questions which proved useful for them. I demonstrated my ability to lead and make careful decisions on handling the group. I got involved in social activities during the day and night in which I had to be on full alert to what students were requesting of me and I was on hand to help on any issues that may came up.

Customer service interaction, tidying clothes making the shop look presentable. Helping people at the fitting room and serve customers at cash desk ensuring they are happy with the service provided. Another duty is to report to the line manager of any urgent notifications and maintain stockroom standards of incoming and outgoing clothes. 

Student Ambassador & Lothian Equal Access Programme for Schools 2009-2012 

As an ambassador at Heriot-Watt University my objective was to show how much prospect University has to offer a student. As a senior student it was my duty to organise and crowd control, guide people on campus tours and answered questions.  I have also volunteered to help out at many workshops in Scotland promoting the image of University academically and socially to young prospective students as part of the LEAPS programme.  Giving my thoughts and opinion from my own experiences, I took part with a group of younger students in team bonding activities.  Both my work experience required leadership, organisation, communication and time management as I balanced my academic course while participating at my own choice.

Taking the role of a financial crime associate I worked among departments helping solve customers’ problems with online transactions when they require registration of their account, password changes, managing cardholder’s profile, dealing with other queries to do with their debit card.

Secondly I dealt with customers reporting fraud on their account. I have picked up experience on handling different scenarios fraud customers have had such as cheque fraud, direct debit and standing order, point of sale and ATM fraud. Therefore I issue customers with a new card and log a fraud case to get sent to another department for assessment.

English Teacher Henan, Nanyang, China 2013-

My current role requires teaching English to university students from Monday to Friday. I had 5 classes to teach in the first term starting from September to January and the second term teaching 3 classes each twice a week, beginning from February until June. In my job I am expected to come up with my own ideas, methods and materials to teach in class with also additional material of my own choice to show the difference in culture between the UK and China on many topics. Each class is taught through a power point presentation and handouts of paper notes and also consists of role playing to give students the experience of different scenarios. I report to the senior head of the English department with any problems or requests to aid my teaching such as equipment or update of progress. I also took part in a oral practice club for major and non English majors in attempt to help improve their level of English and currently attend the self study classrooms on Sunday nights to give the students the opportunity gain my knowledge of English. Other days I attend by choice. End of each term I am expected to give exams in order to see the progress of students so the teaching is taken seriously to ensure I have a professional manner throughout my teaching.
