  靖江外國(guó)語(yǔ)學(xué)校是一所百年名校，其歷史可以追溯到原靖江市實(shí)驗(yàn)小學(xué)的前身——?jiǎng)?chuàng)辦于1905年的靖江縣高等小學(xué)堂。2004年，原靖江市實(shí)驗(yàn)小學(xué)和創(chuàng)辦于2003年的原靖江外國(guó)語(yǔ)學(xué)校合并，組建成一所九年一貫制的規(guī)模學(xué)校，南遷至新校區(qū)辦學(xué)，并沿用“靖江外國(guó)語(yǔ)學(xué)?！钡男Ｃ?。

靖江外國(guó)語(yǔ)學(xué)校南臨浩瀚的長(zhǎng)江和雄偉的江陰長(zhǎng)江大橋，東鄰靖江新城區(qū)。學(xué)校環(huán)境優(yōu)美，人文氛圍與現(xiàn)代氣息濃厚。2010年，學(xué)校順利通過了江蘇省教育現(xiàn)代化學(xué)校驗(yàn)收。

A Brief Introduction to JFLS

Jingjiang Foreign Language (JFLS) is a famous school with a history of 100 years, dating from 1905, in which year Jingjiang Advanced Primary School---the subsequent Jingjiang Experimental Elementary School (JEES) was originated. In 2004, JEES and the former JFLS, which was established in 2003, integrated into a new school, consisting of a primary department and a secondary one. The new campus was located in the south of the city and continued to use the name of Jingjiang Foreign Language School.

JFLS lies to the Yangtze River and the Jiangyin Yangtze River Bridge in South, and it is also next to the east part of Jingjiang new city. The school has beautiful environment, rich cultural atmosphere and modernity. In the year of 2010, the school passed the Provincial Text for Education modernized school.

JFLS is characterized with the inner development with a rich cultural history. Since its establishment, it has been following the educational motto: to be healthy, to be good. It’s always insisting on the teaching ethic: facing every day with a smile, filling students with fun. JFLS advocates the school spirit of carrying wisdom with great virtues, being practical and diligent in action. It emphasizes teaching that is: teaching with wisdom, educating with love. The education target of JFLS is to produce honest and creative students who enjoy studying and thinking as well. In a brief, JFLS aims at laying a foundation of the students’ lifelong learning and getting each student to be successful.

All the stuff, devoted to the work, are of noble exemplary morality and high teaching level. In the school, among the full-time teachers, there is one famous principal of Taizhou, five academic leaders of Taizhou, six teaching experts of Taizhou, five worship rookies of Taizhou, seven famous teachers of Jingjiang, fifty teaching experts of Jingjiang and ten worship rookie of Jingjiang.

The students of JFLS have creativity as well as fine qualities and many accomplishments. They have repeatedly borne fruits in multifarious competitions. A special feature of the school is the large variety of opportunities for them to develop their abilities such as the Sports Festival, the Reading Festival, the Arts Festival, the Science Festival, the English Festival, the Math Festival.

As a large-scale school, JFLS takes an active part in building the educational community. For the integration of urban and rural educational resources, and for the reduction of the urban-rural gap in education, it takes measures to make its due contribution to the work in order to seek the balanced development of regional education.
