ITE teacher’s main task is to teach students English with various approaches and help them to be exposed with the English language, knowledge and culture. Responsible for preparing individualized lessons with Chinese Teaching Assistant; preparing formal and informal assessments; coordinating class and school activities, functioning as a support to Chinese teachers and evaluating students. Constructed weekly lesson plans to meet IEP goals and matching the NYS Core Curriculum Standards. I utilized ABA and TEACCH strategies for daily academic instruction. Developed and taught vocational skills to students for transition into the community Supervised staff of 5 Teaching Assistants, coordinated community activities aligned to curriculum. Utilize behavior strategies, maintain and formulate data for instructional and behavioral practices with School Behavior Analysis. Helped develop behavior plans, tracked and recorded data in order to implement Behavior Intervention Plan. SCIP-R and CPR trained Coordinated with school Psychologist, Social Worker and crisis intervention team to remediate at risk school age children and implement Behavior Plans - attended bi-monthly BIP meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings
